This guided tour showcases the highlights of Saigon and the Cu Chi tunnels in Ho Chi Minh City. You’ll explore the Cu Chi tunnels, learning how locals lived underground and prepared for the Tet Offensive. There will also be time to discover the city’s French-influenced architecture, including the Opera House, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the former Presidential Palace. In the Mekong Delta, visit the breathtaking Vinh Trang Pagoda, a century-old temple that will leave you in awe. Enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Mekong River from My Tho to Ben Tre, where you can experience traditional rowing in the peaceful water coconut canal designed for an immersive experience. The French developed Vung Tau, an old port town southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, as a seaside resort known as Cap Saint Jacques. Today, Vung Tau is a favored weekend escape for Ho Chi Minh City residents.

Tour itinerary:

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN HO CHI MINH CITY

• Upon arriving in Ho Chi Minh City, your driver will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel.
• A tour guide will then show you around the city, sharing tips on what to do and where to visit.
• You will spend the night at your hotel.

DAY 2: HO CHI MINH CITY – CU CHI TUNNELS (B, L)

• Breakfast is served at the Hotel.
• 8:00 AM Begin your exploration of Ho Chi Minh City by visiting notable sites such as the Independence Palace, War Museum, Jade Emperor Pagoda, Central Post Office, Duc Ba Church (Notre-Dame Cathedral), and Ben Thanh Market.
• After lunch at a local eatery, we will proceed to the Cu Chi Tunnel, which gained fame in the 1960s for its significance in the VC’s control over a large rural region just 50km from the city.
• Dinner will be at a local Vietnamese restaurant.
• You will spend the night at your hotel.

DAY 3: MEKONG DELTA – DINNER ON SAIGON RIVER CRUISE (B, L, D)

• At around 8:00 AM, depart from Ho Chi Minh City and head to My Tho, enjoying a scenic drive along the National Highway lined with lush rice fields. Upon arrival in My Tho, visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, then take a leisurely boat ride on the river, where you can see stilt houses, fruit plantations, and fishing villages along the banks.
• Continue your journey to An Khanh, a quieter spot in Ben Tre, where you’ll cruise on a hand-rowed sampan beneath the shade of water coconut trees along natural canals. Enjoy seasonal fruits and honey tea while listening to traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by locals.
• Lunch will be served at a local Vietnamese restaurant. Afterward, you can explore the village by bicycle. Around 5:00 PM, we will return to Saigon.
• Relax and prepare for dinner on the cruise.
• 7:00 PM We continue to Sai Gon River to have Dinner on the Cruise. For 1,5 hours along the Saigon River dinner is served with a five-course Vietnamese food. At the same time, you will also enjoy listening to traditional music and watching the beautiful lights of the city at night. Disembark the boat by 9:00 pm and transfer back to your hotel.
• Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 4: HO CHI MINH – VUNG TAU (B, L)

• Transfer to Vung Tau.
• Morning picks up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh, and depart for Vung Tau beachside city (about a 2-hour drive), a famous beach resort with long white sandy beaches and warm water all year round.
• Arrive at Vung Tau city, we first visit the landmarks including the Summer Palace of Emperor Bao Dai (White Palace), Christ Hill (St. Jacque Janerio), 18 meters high Goddess of Mercy, Thuy Van Beach, and Whale Temple dedicated to whales considered as the rescuing gods for Vietnamese fisherman in the east sea.
• Have lunch at a local restaurant and leisure time in the afternoon at the Beach. You can enjoy the beach, swim, or join in exciting water sports activities.
• Then head back to Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 5: HO CHI MINH (B)

• Free time for you. Breakfast at your Hotel
• Car transfers you to the airport, getting a flight to your next place.
• Tour end.

Start your day by visiting the historic White Villa and the harbor, where you can enjoy scenic views and learn about the area’s colonial history. Then, climb the impressive Statue of Jesus, one of the largest in Asia, for breathtaking panoramic views. Finally, relax on Back Beach, where you can unwind on the clean sands and take a refreshing swim in the calm waters.

Tour itinerary:

Morning: Between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, your tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel for a scenic drive to the charming resort town of Vung Tau.

Afternoon: Upon arrival in Vung Tau, immerse yourself in the city’s highlights. Explore the serene Niet Ban Tinh Xa (Nirvana Meditation Retreat) and the spiritual Thich Ca Phat Dai (a prominent Buddhist shrine). Marvel at the historic French-built lighthouse. Savor a delicious seafood lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, visit the impressive Giant Jesus statue and take a refreshing swim at Vung Tau’s prime beach.
