Overview:
Discover the amazing Ha Long Bay on this full-day boat trip. The tour leaves early from Hanoi with a break on the way. Get on your boat at the harbor for lunch while sailing past beautiful limestone islands and rock shapes. Stops include Surprising Cave with its unique rocks and kayaking in the scenic Luon Cave. Hike Titop Island for big views of the bay. As it gets dark, relax on deck enjoying the pretty scenery. The bus back includes a rest area stop before arriving in Hanoi. You’ll feel energized after seeing this famous natural area from your boat up close. It’s a great tour for seeing Vietnam’s most iconic place in one easy day.
Tour itinerary:
- 08:00 AM – Driver picks you up from a Hanoi Old Quarter hotel. Stop on the way for a break.
- 12:00-12:30 AM – Sail away on a scenic 5-hour cruise through the renowned bay, taking in the striking limestone formations that dot the emerald waters. Many islands have creatively named names given by locals based on their unique shapes, such as Cock Fighting Island and Thumb Island. A delicious Vietnamese lunch will be served while cruising.
- 01:00-02:00 PM – Reach the Bo Hon island archipelago. Our first stop is Surprising Cave to see the many stalagmites and stalactites inside with their varied forms resembling sea life. Then you can choose to kayak or take a bamboo boat around the tranquil Luon Cave lagoon. Next is a visit to Titop Island with its sandy beach and dramatic backdrop of towering mountainous jungle. Climb up Titop Peak for awe-inspiring panoramic views of the bay as far as the eye can see.
- 04:30 PM – Begin boarding the cruise ship to return to Ha Long harbor as the sun starts to set. Spend time relaxing on the upper deck while enjoying live music with new friends.
- 06:00 PM – Disembark the cruise and board our comfortable tourist bus, short break on the way.
- 08:00 PM – Arrive back at your hotel in the capital city, tired but inspired by your day exploring one of Vietnam’s most iconic destinations. Trip ends.
